As usual, a lot of undeserving players are riding their names to Hawaii. The link only shows the leaders at the positions. The AFC looks fairly clean on offense, but the defense is polluted. Wilfork is deserving, but not the most deserving DT. Merriman and Brushci are the WTF picks on the defensive side, Merriman is having a down year from last season and I think Tom Howard of the Raiders is way more deserving with 4 more INTs, 2 more TDs, and more tackles. There are probably 5 or 6 players in the AFC more deserving than Bruschi, who is riding his name hard on the Hawaiian surf. Polamalu and Ed Reed are probably guilty of this as well... Where is Bob Sanders? In the NFC, all three O-Line positions are polluted by Dallas fan votes. It's a shame, because the AFC's line selections seemed so good. You can't really argue with T.O. or Witten, but the ENTIRE O-Line is completely asinine. On the defensive side of the ball, Osi is leading the voting despite being injured. He has 8 sacks, 6 of which came against Winston Justice in Philly more than a month ago. He is completely undeserving of a starting DE spot. It's bull****. Roy Williams is an even worse pick, the second worst pick in the entire outfit, other than Bruschi. As with every year, a bunch of uninformed fans get in and ruin the whole thing. ****ers.

Its nice to see Barnett, Woodson and Favre getting the votes. I would have to make a case for Kampman though.

Well, it is only the top vote getter. There is still one DE position open, and I bet Kampman got it. Especially after the year he had in 2006...
I'm sad the people don't do a better job voting the best players in.

When in doubt, people vote for Dallas.
Not sure I'd vote for Vinatieri after he missed that kick against the Chargers. Seems to me that Rob Bironas has been the best kicker this year. He's been most of the offense for the Titans this year. |
