First Aid Required
The line at the infirmary keeps getting longer as the regular season rapidly approaches. KGB decided to give it a go after being out several weeks with a knee injury, but only three days later he appears to have aggravated the injury and is questionable for the opener. AJ Hawk hasn’t seen any action whatsoever for a month after suffering from an upper chest injury. His availability for the opener will be key in shutting down the Vikings running game.
James Jones suffered a sprained knee last week. Both Atari Bigby and Nick Collins suffered injury in Denver as well and had to be helped off the field. Their status is totally up in the air. The offensive line is already without center Scott Wells and now they have lost Sitton with a sprained knee. It’s hard to prepare for the premiere defensive tackle duo in the league without having a consistent line up up front.
The defensive line lost Harrell for at least six weeks and Johnny Jolly could be suspended on drug charges should the commissioner decide to go that route if he is formally charged. His court date is Sept. 16th, so his services will be available for the opener.
The Packers need to get healthy, and fast. With games against the Vikings, Bucs, and Cowboys all coming in the first month a fast start is vital for a successful season.

Harrell had not seen any significant action in training camp prior to his injury
Fueling the fire for those fans unhappy with the selection of Defensive Tackle Justin Harrell in the first round of the 2006 draft, Harrell tries to rebound from a semi-dissappointing rookie campaign by starting the first month and a half of the season on the shelf.
Harrell hurt a disc in his back lifting weights and now must undergo surgery in an attempt to fix the problem. With the Packers dangerously thin on the defensive line less than two weeks from facing the uncanny Minnesota rushing duo of Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor in the Monday Night Football season opener at Lambeau on Sept. 8th, the timing couldn’t be worse.

Not even a year after the Packer thought perhaps they had found Ahman Green’s replacement, RB Deshawn Wynn has been released. In seven games last season Wynn had 50 carries for 203 yards, but did contribute 4 touchdowns to the cause.
Wynn was definitely a load to bring down, but he lacked any resemblance of break away speed. While we wish him the best, the best thing he did for the Packers was sustain a neck injury, paving the way for star RB Ryan Grant.

After a terrible showing last week in San Fran, the offense looked the part Friday against Denver in their third preseason game of the 2008/2009 campaign. Scoring on four out of five drives Rodgers looked confident, capping off that notion with two touchdowns on the night.
